Shirley M. Ridgeway, 83, of North Platte, NE passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Great Plains Health Hospital.
She was born on November 21, 1939 in Haigler, NE, the daughter of Roy and Dorothy “Dot” (Kelly) Rathbun.
Shirley was married to Duane Henry “Hank” Ridgeway on July 16, 1959. She worked as part owner of a home cleaning business for several years. She was an avid Husker fan, and loved spoiling her pet dog D.R.
Those left to cherish Shirley’s memory are her friend and caregiver, Terri A. Mullen (Hershel Riley) of North Platte; sister, Delores Faylor of Haigler; niece, Sherri Morabito and several other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Hank, and brother, LeRoy Rathbun.
Burial will be private at Ft. McPherson National Veterans Cemetery in Maxwell, NE. The memorial book will be available to sign from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which has been entrusted with the arrangements.
