     Susan Arvilla (Sizer) Wilson, age 87, of Arthur County, NE, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026 surrounded by family at Banner Hospital in Ogallala, NE.  Susan was born on February 14, 1939 in North Platte, NE to Robert and Eva (Crouse) Sizer.
     The family lived at Calora, Nebraska in northeast Arthur County.  She attended District #12 Grade School and Arthur County High School, graduating in 1956.  After graduation, she taught District #7 School for one year.  She then attended Western Nebraska School of Nursing in Scottsbluff and graduated in 1960.  She worked in Valentine, NE as a nurse for two years.  She then continued her education in Omaha at the St. Joseph's School of Anesthesia, graduating in 1964.  She worked in Ogallala, NE as a Certified Registered Nurse of Anethesia for over eight years.  
     Susan married Douglas Wilson in Ogallala, NE on July 1, 1968.  They  moved to the ranch in southwest Arthur County in 1974.  They had 3 children:  Jennifer, Mark and Michael.  After her mother's death in 1994, her father lived with them for 5 years.  
     At the age of 62, Susan returned to nursing, working at Golden Ours Convalescent Home in Grant, NE for thirteen and a half years, retiring at the age of 75. 
     She was involved in garden club, loved gardening, sewing, quilting, and was an avid reader.  
     Susan was baptized in Thompson Lake as a member of the United Seventh Day Brethren Church and was later a member of the Martin Bay Community Church.
     Susan is survived by children, Jennifer (Tony) Evans of North Platte, NE, Mark (Sandi) Wilson of Arthur, NE, and Michael (Kim) Wilson of Arthur, NE; grandchildren: Haley (Brad) Adkisson, Jacob (Daisy Garcia) Parker, Emily (Kris) Boardman, Sheridan and Audrey Wilson, Michael (Houstyn) Buitron, Isaac (Aleksi Polonis) Buitron, and Jaedin and Nora Wilson.  Susan was blessed with 7 great grandchildren.  She was survived by brothers David Sizer and John (Linda) Sizer; a sister, Marjorie (Dale) Leistritz; sister-in-law, Kathryn (Henry) Sizer-Vedder; brother-in-law, Richard Wilson; and numberous nieces and nephews.  
     Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Wilson; parents, Robert and Eva Sizer; brothers, Wilbert, Jim and Harold Sizer.
     Her body has been donated to the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
     In lieu of flowers, memorials will fund nursing scholarships.
     A Memorial Service is to be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Building in Arthur, Nebraska with Dr. Matthew Wright officiating.
