Wesley “Wes” O. Stauffer age 61, of Cambridge, passed away at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on May 14, 2024. He was born in Salida, CO on April 6, 1963, to Clay and Judith (Jimerson) Stauffer. Wes attended and graduated from Buena Vista High School in Colorado.
Wes was united in marriage to Teresa Lloyd on November 2, 1988. The couple was blessed with two children, Brandon, and Kathryn. Wes was employed as a Correctional Officer at the State Correction Facility in Buena Vista for over 23 years. He retired in 2023. Wes and Teresa moved to Cambridge in 2024.
Wes enjoyed hunting deer and elk, fishing for catfish at Medicine Creek near Cambridge, wood working, and drawing wildlife pictures. He and Teresa took trips to South Dakota, Texas, Wyoming and throughout Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marjorie, and Otis Jimerson, Ethyl, and Virgil Stauffer.
Wes is survived by his wife, Teresa of Cambridge, son, Brandon Stauffer of Cambridge, daughter, Kathryn & her husband Justin Frank of Northrop, CO. Three grandchildren; Dezirray Frank, Jeremiah Frank, Ryland Stauffer, sister Jaymie & husband Lloyd White of Cambridge, niece Ginger White, Nephew Clay White, and a host of relatives.
Cremation was chosen by the family. Services for Wes will be held on a date in the future. Friends may leave online condolences at lockenour.com. Memorials may be left to the American Cancer Research for Pancreatic Cancer. Lockenour-Jones entrusted with arrangements.
