Wilma Lee Dunham (1934-2021)

Wilma Lee Dunham, age 86, of Holladay, Utah, formally of Maxwell, Nebraska, passed away April 29, 2021 in Utah.

Wilma Lee was born in Pocahontas, Arkansas, to Cleo Howard and Ollie Jane Keel on October 8, 1934. She had 3 brothers and 1 sister. Her family moved to El Mirage, Arizona, and that is where she grew up. Her first marriage was short, giving her a daughter. A few years later, she met and married Ralph Dunham, who preceded her in death in 2015. They had 2 sons and 1 daughter together. Since Ralph worked road construction in the early years, they moved around a lot, all over Colorado. She was always a hard worker, and held many varied jobs over the years.

They retired to the small community of Maxwell, NE, and were active in their church, there. Wilma was loved by her church family and they looked forward to church family dinner’s because Wilma always brought her famous homemade pecan pie, that everyone loved!! Wilma was loved by everyone who met her. She was very nurturing, and liked to joke with everyone. She was always quick with a clever comeback, and enjoyed laughing with those she was around.

She is survived by 2 brothers, Earl Keel, Glendale, Az, and Howard Keel (Lolita), of Sun City, AZ; children, Linda Bodily (Brent) of Murray, Utah, Scott Dunham (Vickie) of Pahrump, Nevada, Pam Lebsock (Jeff) of North Platte, Nebraska, and Matt Dunham of Sebago, Maine. She had 4 children, 9 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Wilma is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Dunham; parents, Cleo H and Ollie Jane Keel.

Memorials are suggested to the donor’s choice in Wilma’s memory.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 17th, 2021 at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home in North Platte, Nebraska with George Cheek of Maranatha Bible Camp officiating. Burial will follow at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell, Nebraska. Visitation will be noon to 6:00 P.M., Sunday, May 16th, 2021 at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home, who is in charge of arrangements.

The service will in livestreamed via Adams and Swanson Facebook page for those unable to attend. Services will follow the current COVID-19 health directives, masks are required at Fort McPherson.
