Blanca Delia Meraz de Parra(63), of Ogallala, NE found eternal rest on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.
Blanca was born on January 1, 1959 in Teporachi, Chihuahua, Mexico to Leopoldo Meraz Escarcega and Reynalda Martinez de Meraz. She was the oldest of 8 kids.
She married her first love Roman Parra Chavez on February 11, 1979. They quickly began to grow their family, having four children: Selene, Edgar Lenin, Lesly and Betsy Larissa.
They lived in many places throughout their life but eventually settled in Ogallala where they opened their business, Mi Ranchito Restaurant in 2003.
She enjoyed cooking, learning new recipes and baking with her children, gardening, and listening to music. She loved spending time with her 6 grandchildren: Uriel, Kairo, Alison, Linken, Max, & Mia. She especially enjoyed long phone conversations with all her loved ones. She loved traveling, especially when her family joined her. She had recently found her happy place in El Paso, TX, where she hoped to live the rest of her life.
She is survived by her husband Roman Parra Chavez, Daughter Selene Parra(Sergio), Son Edgar Lenin Parra (Veronica), Daughter Lesly Parra (Isaiah), and Daughter Betsy Larissa Parra. Her grandchildren, Uriel Lozano (19), Kairo Trujillo (11), Alison Lozano (10), Linken Trujillo (6), Max Parra (3), Mia Trujillo (3 months.) Her loving mother, Reynalda Martinez de Meraz. Sisters Irma Meraz, Silvia Meraz, and brothers, Leopoldo Meraz Jr, Raymundo Meraz, & Saul Meraz. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father Leopoldo Meraz Escarcega, and her sister Gloria Meraz.
She will be dearly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 28th, 2022 from 12-6 pm at the Draucker Funeral Home Chapel in Ogallala, NE.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, December 29th, 2022 at 11:00 am at the New Hope Church in Ogallala, NE with Pastor Javier Parra of the Shalom Centro Cristiano in Scottsbluff, Nebraska officiating.
Interment will be at Ogallala Cemetery.
