  Stanley Delmar Cady of Valentine, Nebraska died peacefully July 16, 2002, at the age of 83, at Sandhills Care Center in Ainsworth, Nebraska after a short illness. His wife and family members were at his side.

Stan was born March 2, 1929 in Todd County, South Dakota to George W. and Dena (Miedema) Cady. He had a wonderful childhood growing up on the farm/ranch near Lakeview, South Dakota. He attended grade schools in and near Lakeview. In first and second grades, he and his sister, Delia, rode horseback to school. Stan graduated from Todd County High School in 1958. He married his high school sweetheart, Carol Peed, May 1, 1959 in Fort Pierre, South Dakota. Stan and Carol spent their 63 years together living in Valentine, Nebraska. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Stan had many interests. He enjoyed country music, fishing and gardening. He was on the fire rescue team as a scuba diver. He worked for Miller Brothers garage for many years as a mechanic.

Stan is survived by his wife Carol; sister Delia Stetter (Bob) of Valentine; brother Duane Cady (Janet) of Lakeview, South Dakota; sister-in-law Sharon Cady of Boncarbo, Colorado; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents George W. and Dena Cady and brother Howard G. Cady of Boncarbo, Colordo.

Funeral services will be held at the Crossroads Assembly of God Church in Valentine, Nebraska on Friday July 22, 2022 with Pastor Dale Williams officiating. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery in Valentine.
