Motorists in North Platte will encounter another road closure beginning next week as sewer infrastructure work gets underway.
Midlands Contracting will close East Philip Avenue between Newberry Access Road and Bicentennial Avenue beginning Monday, June 22, for a manhole replacement project. The closure will remain in effect until the work is completed.
No traffic will be permitted on East Philip Avenue between Newberry Access Road and Bicentennial Avenue during construction. A detour will be in place, and drivers are encouraged to follow the posted route and seek alternate travel paths.
The City of North Platte is reminding motorists to use caution near the construction zone and obey all traffic control signs to help ensure the safety of workers and the public.
