ITA All-Americans Recap
NU went 2-4 overall in its season-opening competition. Maria Taranova and Katie Spencer kicked the season off on Saturday with the pre-qualifying round in singles. Taranova took an early loss to Chattanooga’s Addison Iacono, and Spencer followed with a loss to Rutgers’ Zuzanna Frankowska. Both of them bounced back in Sunday’s consolation bracket, as Taranova took down Georgia’s Ava Rodriguez in straight sets including a 6-0 second set. Spencer grabbed a victory over Alessia Cau from Ohio State to close out singles play. The No. 62 ranked duo of Spencer and Conley Raidt took on Payne/Paukstyte from Georgia on Monday, as they would take a 6-1, 6-2 loss to the Bulldog duo.

Up Next: Husker Invitational
The Big Red look to bounce back this weekend, as they will host Kansas, Missouri, Iowa State, Denver and Wichita State for the Husker Invitational from Sept. 25-27.
The tournament will feature both singles and doubles play, and each day of competition is set to begin at 9 a.m. Returning to competition are Raidt, Spencer and Taranova, as they will compete in their second tournament of the season. Seniors Reya Lee Coe and Emma Rizzetto are making their final debut for the Huskers this weekend, and sophomore Baylor transfer Neda Rahimkhani will be competing in her first match with the Big Red this weekend.
