Marvin Earl Gove, 84, of North Platte passed away November 18, 2025 at Great Plains Health. He was born January 14, 1941 to Earl and Winnie (Main) Gove in Cambridge.

Marvin graduated from North Platte High School with the class of 1959. He married Katherine Ann Pinkerton on November 19, 1961 in Tryon. The couple lived in Omaha and then moved back to the Pinkerton Ranch near Tryon until 1967. They moved to North Platte where Marvin worked for Callihan Kaschke Company until he retired in 2006.

Marvin was a member of Parkview Nazarene Church, where he helped with church bus ministry, inner church reserve, and was very helpful around the church with the physical work. He always made the coffee for Sunday school. He enjoyed attending as many activities as he could for his grandchildren and he loved to work on cars and small engines. Marvin will be remembered as a quiet man of very few words.

Survivors include children, Terry Gove of Kearney, Cindy (Norm) Bomberger, Mary Gove all of North Platte, Kevin Gove of Colorado, Charity Gove, and Tony (Katrina) Gove all of North Platte; grandchildren, Chris (Jenn) Gove of Elkhorn, NE, Ashley (Allyn) Webb of Salida, CO, Ben (Hayley) Gove of Elkhorn, NE, John Bomberger of Kearney, NE, Austin (Tara) Bomberger of Elkhorn, NE, Sara Bihlmaier of Gretna, NE, Alex Gove, and Savanna Gove both of North Platte; great-grandchildren, Madisyn Wilcox, Liam Gove, Emery Gove, and Camden Gove; sisters, Elaine Georgelas of Cheyenne, WY, Evelyn (R.D.) Ulrich of Alabama; brother, Milton (Laura) Gove of Florida; brother and sister-in-law, Jim (Janea) Pinkerton Jr. of North Platte; many nieces, nephews, cousins; and many friends.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Winnie; wife, Katherine; son, Marvin “Marty” Gove Jr.; sisters, Esther Terpenning and Liz (Les) Cole; brother-in-law, Art Georgelas.

Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Parkview Church of the Nazarene with Pastor James Trippett officiating. Burial will follow at North Platte Cemetery. Visitation will be held noon-7:00, with family present 5:00-7:00, Friday, November 21, 2025 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
