NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-Two women were arrested and a vehicle stolen from California was recovered in North Platte on Monday.

Police said that at 12:38 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 3100 Block of South Jeffers. It was reported that a stolen vehicle was currently at this location.
Police said officers arrived and located the vehicle which was occupied by two female subjects, Christie Kirk, 46, and Breanne Cruz, 38.
Officers confirmed the vehicle had been reported stolen out of California and established probable cause to arrest both subjects on suspicion of theft by receiving stolen property.

Both Cruz and Kirk were transported to the Lincoln County Detention Center.
Police said a search of Cruz's property yielded prescription drugs with no prescription. Cruz was, as a result, incarcerated on suspicion of theft by receiving stolen property and possession of a controlled substance.
Kirk was incarcerated on suspicion of theft by receiving stolen property.
