
Leo Ray Seybold, age 80, of Overton, Nebraska, passed away at El Dorado Manor in Trenton on August 1st, 2021.
Leo was born on December 14th, 1940, in Trenton, Nebraska to Lloyd and Nellie (Ridgley) Seybold. He grew up in Trenton until 1954 when the family moved to the Hershey, Nebraska area.
Leo met the love of his life, LaVon Houser and the two were married on September 16th, 1962. They settled in Paxton, Nebraska where they went on to have five children, eleven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Leo worked on several ranches in Nebraska in the early years of his marriage. He then worked for Lincoln County, running heavy equipment before moving to Wellington, Colorado in 1979. In Willington, he drove semitruck for a few years before he was hired on at Larimer County where he again ran heavy equipment until his retirement in 1997. After his retirement, he and LaVon moved to Overton, Nebraska.
Along with his family and work, Leo was also an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, trapping, camping, and gardening.
Leo is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Seybold; infant sister, Delores J. Seybold; stepsister, Lois L. Duncan; and infant grandson, Bruce Seybold Clements.
Survivors include his wife, LaVon; five children: Doris (Mark) Martindale of Funk, Nebraska, Ronnie (Shari) Seybold of Amherst, Nebraska, Shirley (Bret) Seybold-Lamb of Overton, Nebraska, Barbara (Shane) Robbs Criger of McCook, Nebraska, and Lonnie (Ann) Seybold of Howells, Nebraska; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Leo chose cremation and his wish was that a joint service take place when the love of his life, LaVon passes away. They will be inurned together in the Trenton Cemetery, Trenton, Nebraska.
