Margaret Jenice Brown, formerly of North Platte, passed away at the Good Shepherd Home in Blair on April 12, 2022. She was 90 years old.
Margaret was born to Elmer and Myrtle Parker on June 26, 1931, at Alturas, California. She grew up in Alturas and San Jose and graduated from Alturas High School in 1949. Margaret then worked for the Greyhound Bus Depot until getting married.
On August 24, 1954, Margaret was united in marriage to Robert Eugene Brown in Los Gatos, California. They eventually moved to North Platte since Bob was from the Maywood area. Margaret worked at various places including Stones Drug Store, Shady Inn, Arctic Circle, Burger King and the Tomahawk Restaurant. She later worked for North Platte Public Schools in the cafeterias of the high school and grade schools until retiring in 1995.
Margaret was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a longtime member of First Assembly of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her parents, Elmer and Myrtle Parker; brother, Perry Parker; and sisters, Alice Doop, Dorothy Schaffer, Ardallas Poindexter and Marie.
Margaret is survived by her children, Scott Crandall of York, PA, Natalie (Eugene) Trujillo of Bellevue and Kathleen (Doug) DeWitt of Fort Calhoun; grandchildren, Gene Trujillo Jr, Jeremy Trujillo, Jessica Trujillo, Ali DeWitt, Michelle DeWitt and Ciera (Warren) Chiapparelli; great-grandchildren, Drake Butcher, Lotus Trujillo, Reina Trujillo, Tristan Chiapparelli, RayAnna Brake, Logan Brake and Dante Chiapparelli; as well as many other family members.

  Celebration of Life will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, July 8, 2022,
at Odean Colonial Chapel.  Inurnment will follow in Fort McPherson
