News Release

This year, Taco John’s of North Platte is partnering with North Platte Area Habitat for Humanity on their annual Nacho Navidad fund-raising promotion.

Each year Taco John’s partners with a charity during its festive Nachos Navidad holiday promotion with a portion of each Nachos Navidad purchase dedicated to a local charity.  The desire to help LOCAL people in their communities was a predominant driver in Taco John’s choosing North Platte Area Habitat for Humanity as their charity partner for the promotion. Taco John’s goal is two-fold:  they want to raise funds to donate directly to a worthwhile organization that touches so many people’s lives.  Second—and equally important—they hope this promotion will aid in the community awareness of the efforts of North Platte Area Habitat for Humanity and the impact in their communities.  NPAHFH has built 57 houses in North Platte over the last twenty-two years providing safe, decent affordable shelter to low income families and contributing in excess of $700,000 to the tax rolls.

Between December 1 and December 25, Taco John’s, will donate a portion of each Nachos Navidad purchase and will also collect change. “We just want to thank Taco Johns and the folks of North Platte for supporting this amazing effort, said Dalene Skates, Executive Director for North Platte Area Habitat for Humanity, we are sincerely grateful.” For more information on how you can support this fund-raising effort, go to their website at www.npahfh.org or follow the posts on Habitat’s Facebook page.
