NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — The North Platte Police Department responded to 762 calls for service during the 2026 NebraskaLand Days celebration, which took place June 17 through June 27.

According to the department, officers made 14 Minor in Possession arrests, seven DUI arrests, 12 felony arrests and 42 misdemeanor arrests during the 11-day celebration.

At the Wild West Arena, officers responded to 39 calls for service and made 10 Minor in Possession arrests.

As part of the department's event safety efforts, officers partnered with the Nebraska Department of Transportation, increased their presence at events where alcohol was served and used ID scanning devices to help detect fraudulent identification and prevent underage drinking.

Police said those efforts resulted in the seizure of several fake IDs that were used in attempted alcohol purchases.

"The North Platte Police Department appreciates the cooperation of event organizers, businesses, and community members who helped make NebraskaLand Days a safe and successful celebration," Sgt. Jeremiah Johnson said in a news release. "Our officers remain committed to proactive enforcement while supporting the community events that bring people together."

The department released the statistics Tuesday as a recap of enforcement efforts during this year's NebraskaLand Days celebration.
