Jean-Pierre Brownell, aged 51, of Long Beach, CA, formerly of North Platte, passed away on January 17, 2024, as the result of an automobile accident in North Platte. He was born to Thomas and Jeane (Jensen) Brownell on April 22, 1972, in Callaway, NE.
Pierre was raised primarily in North Platte, attending St. Patrick’s High School briefly and then Maxwell High School, where he graduated in 1991. He received a basketball scholarship to Wayne State where he attended and received a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts. He then went on to UNK to pursue a master’s degree. In 2003, after his mother’s passing, Pierre moved to California where he toured with the WWE. Following his wrestling career, he worked as a salesman for several different car dealerships. Pierre met Michele in 2009 in Huntington Beach, CA and a daughter, Kamryn Sky, was born in 2010. In July of 2023, Pierre traveled back to North Platte to work on his properties with hopes of getting back to California within a year or so.
The number one love of his life was his daughter, Kamryn Sky, followed by his dogs, Rocky, Cinnamon, and the late Shay. Health and fitness were priorities; Pierre was always working out and trying to better his physical health. He was larger than life and a go-getter; he always had a goal that he was ready to reach and plans to see through. Pierre was artistic, always drawing on anything he could find. He loved history and could rattle off a number of different historical facts at any time. Pierre was versatile; always able to make friends in any situation with people from any social class by finding common ground. He was so kind and willing to help anyone out; Pierre was great at encouraging others to see their potential.
Those left to cherish memories of Pierre include his daughter, Kamryn Sky and her mother, Michele Lawrence of Long Beach, CA; siblings, Danielle Enriquez of Seward, NE, Jared (Sarah) Loudy of Grand Island, Gabrielle (Ryan) Sorensen of Minden, and Elizabeth (Michael) Calvin of McKinney, TX; nieces and nephews, Vanessa, Anthony (Kaleigh), Sarai, Alexander Pierre, Christian, Railey, Daisy, Maddy, Annie, Lincoln, Matthew, and Rutheah; beloved dogs, Rocky and Cinnamon; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family.
Preceding him in death are his parents; two infant brothers; paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Betty Brownell; maternal grandparents, Raymond and Lois Jensen.
