Linda Marie Kirk, age 70, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away on March 21, 2021 at Great Plains Health in North Platte. She was born on April 3, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois to Stan & Alfreda Rogowski.
She grew up in Chicago and attended Catholic school. She moved to North Platte where she met Chuck Kirk. Linda married Chuck on August 3, 1979. Together they operated the Glass Anvil working in stained glass until 2001. Later she worked at True Value in the produce department, then at Frito Lay as a route driver, retiring from Frito Lay in 2016.
Linda had a special talent for nurturing. She enjoyed gardening, yard work, and loved working on her home. She was best known for her love of children, spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren. She also loved volunteering at the Bargain Bin and the friends she made there. Linda was always willing to give her time to help others.
Survivors include her husband, Chuck of North Platte, Nebraska; daughter, Samantha (Ben) Bryns of North Platte, Nebraska; son Tim (Alyssa) Kirk of North Platte, Nebraska; 5 grandchildren, Brealyn, Blaise, Dan, Alice and Liani; two brothers, Ken (Marie) Rogers of Chicago, Illinois and Dan (Laurie) Rogowski of Chicago, Illinois; one sister, Karen Jaberi of San Francisco, California; and 5 nieces and nephews, Marty, Gina, Elizabeth, Jonathan, and Davi.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Stan and Alfreda Rogowski; and a brother-in-law, Reza Jaberi.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the North Platte Catholic Schools Endowment or the North Platte Area Children's Museum.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Spiritual Life Center at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in North Platte, Nebraska.
