Sarah Oberg, age 83, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away at Great Plains Health on February 9, 2021.
Sarah was born at Gothenburg, Nebraska to Thomas and Dellaphine Parsons on May 20, 1937. She grew up and went to school in Gothenburg then got married.
On October 11, 1945, Sarah married Alfred Oberg and they lived in
Gothenburg until moving to North Platte in the early '60's. Sarah
enjoyed being a homemaker and being with her family. She was a member of Parkview Nazarene Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred; her parents, Tom and
Dellaphine Parsons; brothers, Charles and Leonard Parsons; and grandson, Christopher Brown.
Sarah is survived by her children, Ivan (Julie) Oberg, Tom (Cheri) Oberg
and Dian (Tom) Jenkins, all of North Platte, NE, and John (Camille) Oberg, of Maxwell, NE; grandchildren, Brett (Sarah), Chris (Marlina), Alexandra (Mark), Clark (Brenda) and Mariesha (Eric); great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Brittany, C.J., Jayden, Alexis, Isaiah, Malakye, Austin, Tristan, Magnus and Tessa; and great great-grandchildren, Jorden, Beau, Emma, Abigail, Christopher, Kalia, Jackson, Scarlet, Emberlain, Deccan, Brooke and Alex; as well as other family.
Services will be 1 p.m. on Friday, February 12, 2021, at Parkview
Nazarene Church in North Platte, NE with Pastor James Trippett officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in the Gothenburg Cemetery. For those unable to attend, services will be livestreamed at www.parkviewnaz.com and later posted to the church's facebook page. Visitation will be prior to services at the church.
