Torrington, Wyo.– The North Platte Community College women's golf team opened the season at the Eastern Wyoming Tournament. The Knights placed third in the team standings after finishing 201-over par.
Leading the way for North Platte was freshman Iryana Frahm. Frahm shot an opening round 90, before shaving seven strokes in the second round to finish tied for seventh.
Esperanza Mendoza-Rama (+48) carded a 95 in the first round, adding two strokes in the second to finish 16th in the field.
Freshman Zoey Oatts (+57) took 15 strokes off her opening round score to finish 18th, while Delaine Mize (+67) rounded out the Knights with a 19th place finish.
Knights will return to the links to host the North Platte Community College Tournament with day one at Rivers Edge Golf Course and day two at Lake Maloney Golf Course Sept. 18-19.
