Floyd Eugene Wever, 94, of Sutherland, passed away September 1, 2021 at Great Plains Health.  He was born on January 19, 1927 to Frank and Dora (House) Wever at O’Fallons.
Floyd graduated from O’Fallons High School with the class of 1945.  He married Beulah Coker on March 16, 1946 in Sutherland.  They made their home in O’Fallons on the Wever family homestead.  They later moved to Sutherland and built a house on the Coker family homestead.
Floyd hired on with the Union Pacific Railroad and worked as a switchman and brakeman, retiring after 32 years of service.  He spent much of his time with his wife Beulah and they followed their grandchildren’s activities.  They spent winters in Yuma, Arizona and spent time socializing and travelling all over the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Survivors include his children, Diana (Larry) Reitz of Paxton, Linda “Susie” (Don) Swain of Yuma, AZ, William (Kristi) Wever of Sutherland; grandchildren, Donell Hauser of Allen, TX, Wade (Jaime) Reitz of Lincoln, Sarah (Adam) Hauser-Hickman of Allen, TX, Aaron Reitz of Kearney, Derek (Erin) Wever of Omaha, Dena (Brandon) Corder of Omaha; great grandchildren, Joe, Tucker, McKinley, Avery, Landon, Markie, Charlie, Edie, Ella, Ivy; son-in-law, Mark (Lina) Hauser of North Platte, daughter-in-law, Sherry Wever of Sutherland; numerous other family members and friends.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; wife Beulah on September 23, 2015; and siblings, Ellsworth (Agnes) Wever.

Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Sutherland Presbyterian Church with Pastor Scott Mustion officiating.  Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery near Sutherland.  Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
