James Kenneth “Jim” Huebner, 78, of North Platte, passed away February 6, 2026 at Linden Court. He was born November 28, 1947 to Kenneth and Aletha (Knapp) Huebner in North Platte.
Jim attended North Platte High School and graduated with the class of 1966. He attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and graduated with a business degree. Jim met Susanne Pospichal in Lincoln and they were united in marriage on August 4, 1973. The couple lived in Kansas City, MO and Jim worked for Lever Bros. as a supervisor in the sales department. He transferred to Indianapolis, IN then came back home to North Platte where he worked for the family business and expanded the store to Westfield at that time. Eventually Jim came to be president of the Huebner business along with two of his brothers. He retired October 30, 2015 due to his health. Jim’s loves were his business and his family. Especially spoiling his grandchildren.
Survivors include wife, Sue of North Platte; children, Sara (Andy) Johnson of North Platte, Adam Huebner of Omaha; grandchildren, Abigail and Kenneth Johnson of North Platte; siblings, Charlie (Kathy) Huebner of North Platte, Paul (Connie) Huebner of North Platte; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Aletha Huebner; brother, Tom (Molly) Huebner; in-laws, Joe and Joanne Pospichal.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Rosary will be held 10:30 A.M. before the Mass. Those wishing to sign the register book may do so 9:00-5:00, Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
