NORTH PLATTE, Neb - Shortly after 7pm Wednesday night reports of landspout tornados began to be called in from residents all over Lincoln County. The biggest tornado was south of Sutherland, seen in picture.
As of this report, no major damage has been reported. Landspout tornados were seen southeast of Lake Maloney, near Maxwell, Brady, and south of Stapleton. Half dollar sized hail was also reported. Following the tornadic activity, storms have entered the area from Colorado with 70-80mph winds.
The POST received word of grass fires started by cloud to ground lightning both north and south of North Platte during the storms.
