The City of Lexington, Nebraska along with the Lexington Police Department is proud to announce the promotion of long-time Police Sergeant Phil Lauby to the position of Police Captain. Captain Lauby has been with the Lexington Police Department his entire career beginning in 1992.
Captain Lauby and his wife Lorinda Lauby are both Lexington natives. City Manager Joe Pepplitsch appointed Captain Lauby to his new position on October 27, 2023. This morning Captain Lauby was pinned with his Captain's badge and collar brass by Chief Paul Schwarz.
