Ruth E. Fagot, 94, of McCook, Nebraska, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook, Nebraska with her loving family by her side.

She was born on November 22, 1928, in Milford, Nebraska to Roland and Harriet (Weaver) Miller. Ruth graduated from Milford High School with the class of 1946. She then moved on to complete two years at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. On April 10, 1949, Ruth was united in marriage to Francis Fagot in Milford, Nebraska. Three children were blessed to this union: Kathy, Annette, and Craig. The family made their home north of Lexington where Ruth focused her efforts on caring for the home and raising their children.

Ruth had many hobbies including knitting, sewing, creating beautiful art work and reading. She loved getting to spend time at Johnson Lake with her family and friends where she could do some yoga and work on her journaling. Ruth was also a faithful member of many organizations including the Chapter GR P.E.O., Studio 25, The Lexington Painting Club, ART Club, Bridge and Supper Club. Ruth was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church in Lexington.

Those left to celebrate her life are her children, Kathy (Mike) Hockley of Overland Park, Kansas, Annette (Russ) Eisenhart of Culbertson, Nebraska, Craig Forester (Sarah Darby) of Omaha, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Virgene Forest of Denton, Texas, grandchildren, Chris Hockley (Claire Sheahan), Anne (Ira) Crofford, John (Abbie) Eisenhart, Ben (Bonnie) Eisenhart, Andrea Eisenhart, and Rachel Forester; great-grandchildren, Simon, Josephine, Nell, Nolan, Georgette, Samuel, Beau, and Paige.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Fagot.

Services will be held at a later date.
