Dale C. Reichert passed away at his home in North Platte, NE, on January10, 2024, at the age of 89.

Dale was born April 6, 1934, to Henry C. and Alice Elizabeth (Bath) Reichert near Bridgeport, NE, where he grew up.  Dale graduated from Bayard High School in 1952 then attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln for two years.

In 1955 Dale married LaVonne Peterson in Gothenburg, NE.  They lived in Lincoln for awhile then moved to Fort Wayne, IN, for a year.  The couple returned to Gothenburg where he started Dale's Radio and TV Repair.

Following LaVonne's death, Dale was united in marriage to Marie Betty Janecek on June 14, 1962, in North Platte.  Dale sold the business in 1965 and they moved to North Platte where he bought Hank's TV, which he operated until 1985.  A year later the couple moved to Clovis, NM, where they built and operated a Super 8 Motel.  After seven years they sold the motel and moved to Brownwood, TX, where they owned an apartment complex, Wayside Apartments.  They eventually sold Wayside and retired in 2006.

During their retirement, Dale and Marie lived in Sierra Vista, AZ, and St. George, UT, before returning home to North Platte in 2013.  No matter where they lived, Dale enjoyed golfing, watching Nebraska football, and flying his plane to visit family.  He was also a past member of the Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife, Marie of North Platte; daughters, Corrine VandenBerg of Pine, AZ, Sheryl Reichert of San Diego, CA, and Marcia(Patrick) Stamm of Middlebrook, VA; grandchildren, Ashley (Ralph) Malko, Richard Charleston, Zachary Stamm, Jacob Stamm, Sophia Stamm, Dirk (Almeda) VandenBerg, Jr. and Ryan (Dawn)  VandenBerg; great-granddaughter, Sienna Malko; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family.

Along with his first wife LaVonne, Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Alice; sisters, Florence McKee, Helen Doshier and Dorothy Mae Wathen; brothers, Clarence, Harold and Mervin Reichert; and son-in-law, Dirk VandenBerg, Sr.
