
Patricia “Patsy” Claire Potter, 82, of North Platte, NE, passed away peacefully on Saturday August 14th, 2021 at Linden Court.
Born on June 3, 1939 in Hollywood, CA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mable “Treiber” Keitges. She was the oldest child of six and was the only girl. She spent most of her childhood growing up in Holstein, IA.
Patsy graduated with a BA in Education from Wayne State College in 1961. She met her college sweetheart, Donald Potter, there and they recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary. After graduation, she taught in the Sioux City school system for 2 years before raising a family of 4 children. She was a member of NEA and La Sertoma Club.
Some of her favorite activities were golfing, playing tennis, bowling, playing cards and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving in addition to her husband Don, are children, Jill Mapes (Brian) of Arvada, CO, Bobbi Smidt (Randy) of North Platte, NE, Becky Barnes (Mark) of Arvada, CO, and Michael Potter (Sarah) of Sutherland, NE; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; brothers Jim Keitges of Fresno, CA, Joe Keitges of Adel, IA, and Robert Keitges of Tucson, AZ.
She was predeceased by her parents Raymond and Mable Keitges and brothers Patrick (her twin) and Tom Keitges.
A private service will be held at Fort McPherson National Veteran Cemetery near Maxwell, NE at a later date. Carpenter Memorial Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
