Mark Andrew Turner, 56, of North Platte, NE passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at home.
Mark was born on July 12, 1966 in Dayton, Ohio the son of Clark and Kathleen (Krumm) Turner.
Mark was an avid Miami sports fan, and baseball was his favorite sport. He enjoyed attending movies and giving his reviews and critiques. He also loved eating meals. He had many friends throughout North Platte and will be especially remembered by his friends at North Platte transit and Great Plains Health. He was an active member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and was recently confirmed as an adult in October of 2022. He enjoyed participating in the church jail ministry. His nieces and nephews were important, and he enjoyed staying connected to them as favorite “Uncle Mark”. He was a charter member of the what the family affectionately called the “Council of Cousins”. Mark worked as a web designer for many years, and in the security department at Great Plains Health.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mom, Kathleen; brothers, Keith (Judy) Turner of Sacramento, CA, Chris (Sandy) Turner of Clarkston, MI and Patrick (Stephanie) Turner of Sanibel Island, FL; sister, Ann (Craig) Brewer of North Platte; niece, Mariah (Jeff) Hopkinson of Kearney and a number of other special nieces and nephews; family friend, Amanda McCleary of North Platte.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clark; sisters, Vicki Ewing and Michele Whatley; and a brother, Russell Turner.
Carpenter Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
