Thomas John Grabowski, 60, of North Platte, passed away June 21, 2022 at Centennial Park Retirement Village. He was born on April 22, 1962 to Edmund and Verna (Vlasin) Grabowski in North Platte.
Thomas attended St. Patrick’s Catholic School until his junior year. In 1981, at the age of 19, he went to Denver. He worked in construction as a dry waller. Thomas moved to Arizona and worked at Lake Powell as a maintenance director, working on boats. He moved back to North Platte in the late 90's and continued working in construction.
Thomas was a past member of the Eagle’s Club. He was a great mechanic and loved muscle cars and restoring cars. Thomas loved watching old western classics on TV. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and doing anything outdoors. Thomas took care of the landscaping at his mother’s house and thoroughly enjoyed doing it. Looking out for his mother’s wellbeing was his top priority. He had a great sense of humor but was sometimes gruff around the edges. When it came to his nieces and nephews, he was a softie. Thomas was most comfortable when he was surrounded by his family and close friends.
Survivors include mother, Verna (Vlasin) Grabowski of North Platte; sisters, Mary Ellis of North Platte, Jody (Larry) Cooper of Wellfleet, Christina (Robert) Kolpitcke of Aurora, CO; brother, Joseph (Jody) Grabowski of Goodyear, AZ; nieces and nephews, Brian Ellis, Michael Ellis of North Platte, Audrey (Jeff) Larson of Broken Bow, Adam Cooper of Curtis, Sarah Cooper of Arkansas City, KS; Marc (Sharon) Sauer of Bullhead City, AZ; great nieces and nephews, Emmeleigh Cooper, Olivia Cooper, Cole Larson, Katelyn Larson, Tiffany Sauer, Alexis Sauer; many other family members and friends.
Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Edmund J. Grabowski; brother, James Grabowski; maternal and paternal grandparents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Reverend Vidya Sagar Arikotla as celebrant. Rosary will be recited at 9:30 A.M., Tuesday, June 28 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Visitation will be held 9:00-10:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Inurnment will take place at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
