Emiliano Calmo Sabillon, of Cozad, Nebraska, passed away unexpectedly at the young age of three, on Monday, June 5, 2023, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
He was born on July 27, 2019, in Lexington, Nebraska to Policarpio Calmo Calmo and Naidaly Sabillon. Emiliano’s larger-than-life personality was apparent from the day he was born. He was a very curious child and was always ready for an adventure. He loved spending time with his dad and uncle, going on nighttime fishing trips with his Paw Patrol fishing kit in his hands.
He was a farm boy at heart. His favorite place to be was on the farm with his family. He loved being around the animals and taking care of his white chickens, learning how to incubate eggs, and hand delivering fresh eggs to his friends and family. If you knew Emiliano, you knew how important his cowboy boots meant to him, he wore them whether it was blazing hot outside or freezing cold. He was also an incredible helper, whether it was helping grandma with the farm animals, or helping his grandpa with gardening.
Emiliano created special bonds with everyone he met. He spent a lot of time at his grandparent’s food truck, where he was always asking for al pastor tacos without the tortilla, extra lime and tomatoes. The food truck is where he got the chance to start conversations with everyone. He was always observing and absorbing every detail in life around him. His parents often described him as an angel walking on earth. He showed those around him what it truly meant to live and love to the fullest. Memories shared with Emiliano will always be cherished. His infectious smile and contagious laugh will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Policarpio Calmo and Naidaly Sabillon; sister, Camila Calmo Sabillon; grandparents, Rosa Calmo Ramirez and Tomas Calmo Lucas, Blanca Lara, Rodrigo Morales, and Oscar Sabillon; uncles, Mauricio (Cecilia) Calmo, Faustino (Santa) Calmo, Jonathan (Stephanie) Sabillon, Gael Sabillon and Itiel Sabillon, and Omar (Mariela) Guerra; aunts, Susana Calmo and Beberlin (Abraham) Sabillon; cousins, Faustino, Tomas, Adriana, Emanuel, Francisco, and Melissa Calmo. Mariano Cruz, Carolina, Adrian, and Shirel Sabillon, and Bryanna Guerra, as well as numerous, nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
