Ralph G. Casey Jr., aged 81, of Ogallala, NE, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at Linden Court in North Platte, NE.
In 1969, Ralph married Charlette Ann Hood, and together they made Ogallala their home, raising their family there. Ralph began working at Cornhusker Glass in 1977 and remained there until his retirement.
He had a passion for camping, enjoyed cruising with his son, and loved socializing with friends. Ralph was known for his creativity, engaging conversations, and above all, his love for all family gatherings.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Ray, and Martha Maben; his son, Andy Van Cura; his sisters, Dee Van Cura and Cheryl Terry; his brothers-in-law, Delmar Van Cura, Lionel “Pete” Brown, and Eugene Hood; and his grandson, James Van Cura.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Charlette; his sister, Jayne Brown; his sons, Ralph Casey III of Ogallala and Danny (Luanne) Van Cura of Hayes Center, NE; his daughters, AJ (Clyde) Reimer of Rockville, NE, and Darla (Terry) Walkenhorst of North Platte, NE; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Ralph’s absence will be deeply felt by everyone who loved him.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Draucker Funeral Home Chapel in Ogallala, NE, with Pastor Steven Speck of Grace Community Bible Church of North Platte, NE, officiating.
A Memorial has been established in his memory.
