John C. Lemons, III, age 50, of McCook, Nebraska passed on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Great Plains Medical Center in North Platte, Nebraska.
John was born on August 25, 1970 in Phoenix, Arizona to parents John C. and Velma G. (Anderson) Lemons, Jr. He was one of six children. Over the years, John worked as a cook in the restaurant industry.
In his spare time, John enjoyed watching football, drawing and cooking, as well as spending time in the outdoors, fishing. He had a soft spot in his heart for children. John was a member of the Protestant Faith.
John was preceded in death by his father.
Those left to celebrate his life include his son, A.J. Lemons of Dana, Indiana; his fiancée, Carrie Allen of McCook, Nebraska; godchildren, Michael Miller and Marcus Allen; his mother, Velma Anderson of Phoenix, Arizona; brothers, David (Elizabeth) Lara of Watsonville, California, Marco (Jim) Lara of Scottsdale, Arizona, Carlos (Jennifer) Lara of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Ronaldo Lara of Portland, Oregon; his sister, Carol Lemons of Phoenix, Arizona; and a host of extended family members and friends.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
