Unpack the boxes, Nebraska not jumping conferences

There has been a lot of speculation the last few days about Nebraksa perhaps leaving the Big 10 and re-joining the Big 12. 

The rumors started when the Big 10 on Tuesday announced they would have NO fall sports this year. That same day Coach Frost and members of the university came out and said that they would do everything in their power to keep the options open and wanted to play football. 

Shortly after that Big 10 Commissioner Kevin Warren was asked if Nebraska could go outside the conference to play this season, to which he responded with a resounding NO. 

"No," Warren told Yahoo Sports of the possibility that the Cornhuskers could still play this fall. "Not and be a member of the Big Ten Conference."

Early in the day on Thursday Nebraksa president Ted Carter and Chancellor Ronnie Green put out a joint statement: 

For Nebraska fans looking to get back to Big 12 play, it looks like greener pastures will have to wait for another time.
