Susan J. McKillip, age 81, of McCook, NE passed away on Monday evening, February 15, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Society in Hastings, NE.
Susan was born September 8, 1939 in Fort Collins, CO to parents Merle E. and Mollie E. (Schreiner) Raines. She was one of five children.
On January 26, 1959, Susan married Thomas McKillip in Edwardville, IL. To this union three children were born. Thomas passed away in 1973. Susan shared the rest of her life with partner, Jerome Kirkpatrick, until his passing in 2008.
Over the years, Susan enjoyed crocheting, word search puzzles, Husker sports, WWE wrestling and visiting with people. She was a member of the Assembly of God faith.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas McKillip; life partner, Jerome Kirkpatrick; son, Gale McKillip; brothers, Dale and Earl Raines; and sisters, Bertha Bitterman and Edna Kelly.
Those left to celebrate her life include sons, Thomas (Kelly) McKillip of Trumbull, NE and Tony (Bethany) McKillip of McCook, NE; daughter, Loretta (Jerome Madden) McKillip of North Platte, NE; five grandchildren, T.J. McKillip, Natasha Goodman, Ethan McKillip, Wyatt McKillip, and Katelyn McKillip; as well as her great granddaughter, Taylee Sue Goodman.
