NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-It's official. North Platte's movie theater drought is almost over.

Golden Ticket Cinemas Platte River 6 announced on Tuesday that they will be open Sept. 3.

The theater will feature luxury seating, an expanded food menu, adult beverages and many more amenities often only found in larger cities.

The theater is the first new brand at the North Platte Mall since the redevelopment project got underway.
