NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-Weather permitting, work will continue on US-83 in North Platte, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Watts Electric Company, of Waverly, Nebraska, has the contract. Work includes traffic signal upgrades. On Tuesday, October 20 and Wednesday, October 21, new controllers will be installed at the intersections of Francis and Jeffers, Francis and Dewey, Williams and Dewey, and E and Dewey. Traffic will be maintained with temporary traffic control signs and flaggers. The anticipated completion is November 2020.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
