North Platte, Neb. – North Platte Community College has canceled the remainder of the softball season. The athletic department will immediately begin a search for a new head coach.
NPCC announced on February 6th that Janelle Higgins will no longer be serving as the Knights softball coach. Higgins spent the last 13 years as the head coach of the Knights. The Knights started off their season 0-3 with a loss to Seminole State College (OK) and two loses Cowley County Community College.
The remainder 25 games are now cancelled as NPCC continues their search for their next head coach.
