Ogallala business cited for selling alcohol to minor

NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-During the evening hours of Wednesday, May 5, investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol conducted alcohol inspections in Keith County.

In total, 15 businesses were inspected. One business, Cenex Zip Trip 80 in Ogallala, sold alcohol to a minor for a non-compliance rate of 7 percent. All businesses checked the minor’s ID.

The businesses included liquor stores, convenience stores, restaurants, and bars. Businesses that fail the inspections are referred the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission. Clerks who sell alcohol to a minor are cited for procuring alcohol for a minor.
