On April 15, 2023, Vickie Johnson peacefully passed away at her home in
North Platte. She was 64 years old.
Vickie was born to Roy and Euphrisia McAnulty in Bakersfield, CA, on May 29, 1958. She grew up in California and had a love for the ocean. She eventually relocated to North Platte where she was a member of Parkview Church of the Nazarene.
Vickie dedicated her life to helping others. She cared for the elderly in assisted living and as an in-home care provider. Her passion for caring also extended to her pets as she was a pet lover.
Vickie married Erling "Al" Johnson and raised three sons. She was a
loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Ruth and
husband, Johnny Headly; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Goodenow.
Survivors include Vickie's sons, Steven (Anne) Turney and Jared Johnson
of Hawaii and Timothy Johnson of North Platte; grandchildren, Roman and Alexandria; her sister, Katherin Goodenow of Arnold; brothers, Roy
(Carolyn) McAnulty of Colorado and Bill McAnulty of Washington; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family.
Visitation with family will be 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m.at Odean Colonial Chapel. Cremation will follow.
