Jeffrey LeRoy Griffiths, age 41, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away at the Sutherland Care Center in Sutherland, Nebraska on January 5, 2021 surrounded by his family.
Jeffrey was born on July 26, 1979 in North Platte, Nebraska to Lorrie (Parr) and Larry Griffiths. He attended North Platte High School where he was active in Bulldog football and soccer. After graduating NPHS in 1998, Jeff moved to Lincoln, Nebraska and went on to graduated from Southeast Community College, then from University of Nebraska. Following graduation, Jeff enjoyed working at Crooked Creek, Verizon and Bodegas Ally.
While in Lincoln, Jeff reconnected with North Platte native, Devon Larson. They were married on June 6, 2006. To this union tow of his greatest blessings were born: Karson LeRoy and Kane Jeffrey.
Jeff valued his relationships with others. No matter what stage in life he met someone, he always considered them lifelong friends. He had a way to make anyone feel special and was genuine in relationships. He had a vivacious laugh and a smile that cannot be forgotten. Jeff was always ready to attend a concert, golf outing, hunting trip, sporting events, or host a gathering. He shared his love of comic books, the Chiefs, and soccer with his boys.
Giving back was important to Jeff; whether donating to a charity or walking dogs at the animal shelter. Upon his return to North Platte, Jeff rejoined the First United Methodist Church on December 15, 2019, and had a strong connection to his church.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Leroy & Edna Griffiths; maternal grandparents, Paul & Gloria Parr; his uncle, Terry Parr; and his beloved dog, Jax.
