NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners will meet Monday, July 6, with updates on the Nebraska Public Power District's R-Project, a zoning enforcement matter, and property valuation protests among the items on the agenda.
The meeting begins at 9 a.m. in the Commissioners Room at the Lincoln County Courthouse.
Commissioners will open the meeting with prayer before considering approval of the June 29 meeting minutes, hearing public comments, and reviewing claims and treasurer's receipts.
At 9:15 a.m., the board will recess and convene as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization. During that meeting, board members are scheduled to approve minutes from the June 29 Board of Equalization meeting, hear public comments, consider certificates of correction and tax refunds submitted by the county assessor, and review a motor vehicle tax exemption application from the county treasurer.
The Board of Commissioners will reconvene at 9:30 a.m. to receive an update from the Nebraska Public Power District on the R-Project, the high-voltage transmission line project spanning central Nebraska.
At 9:45 a.m., commissioners are scheduled to discuss and consider authorizing zoning enforcement action against Primivito and Renee Franco involving property described as Lot 2, Franco Administrative Subdivision, Lincoln County, Nebraska.
The agenda also allows for a closed session, if necessary, to discuss matters involving pending or imminent litigation, real estate purchases, security personnel or devices, or job performance evaluations where permitted under Nebraska law.
Following those discussions, commissioners will hear reports from elected officials, department heads, and county commissioner committees.
Later in the meeting, the board will again convene as the Board of Equalization to discuss and consider 2026 property valuation protests before returning to regular commissioner business.
The meeting is open to the public and will also be livestreamed on the Lincoln County YouTube channel.
