Bonnie Catherine Marquette, age 85, of McCook, NE passed away on Saturday June 12, 2021 at Hillcrest Caring Center in McCook.
Bonnie was born October 18, 1935 in Sutherland, NE to parents Edward and Evelyn (Anderson) Meyen. Bonnie graduated from high school in Commerce City, Colorado in 1953.
Bonnie was united in marriage to Gordon J. Marquette on April 10, 1954 in Sutherland, NE. The couple was blessed with four children and as a family, they moved to Trenton, NE in 1968.
Bonnie loved taking care of her yard, painting and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved sports, especially track, volleyball and basketball. Bonnie was a member of the TCDC in Trenton.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gordon Marquette in 2014; son, Randy Marquette; and two brothers, Dick Meyen and Gary Moses.
Those left to celebrate her life include her children, Brian (Denise) Marquette of Sutherland, NE, Nancy (Tom) Hashman of West Chester, PA and LeAnn (Dan) Jankovits of Culbertson, NE; brother, Ed (Marie) Meyen of Lawrence, KS; six grandchildren, Bre Hashman, Kevin (Crystal) Marquette, Katie (Casey) Trambley, Michelle (Cody) Levinson, Jessica Jankovits and Cody Jankovits; and her seven great grandchildren, Charis Marquette, Alex Marquette, Hailey, Conner and Jordyn Levinson, Brooklyn and Evelyn Trambley and one on the way.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 14, 2021 at the Trenton United Methodist Church in Trenton, NE with family friend, Pastor Brenda McGuire officiating.
Private family inurnment will follow in the Trenton Cemetery.
