North Platte police say multiple arrests were made following the execution of a search warrant tied to a firearms investigation earlier this month.
Around 8 a.m. on April 3, 2026, officers with the North Platte Police Department received credible information that Andrew Roepke, a convicted felon, was in possession of firearms. Investigators obtained a search warrant for his residence in the 2800 block of West 19th Street, where several prohibited weapons were located.

According to police, the weapons were believed to belong to Andrew Roepke, his brother Nathaniel Roepke, and their father Vernon Roepke — all of whom are convicted felons. Officers seized multiple firearms and prohibited edged weapons from the home.

Andrew Roepke was arrested on a charge of possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person, a Class ID felony. Vernon Roepke was also arrested on the same charge, a Class ID felony. Both were booked into the Lincoln County Detention Center.

Nathaniel Roepke was not at the residence when the warrant was served. He was later contacted and arrested on April 4, 2026, for possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person, a Class III felony, and was also lodged in the Lincoln County Detention Center.

During the investigation, officers also developed probable cause indicating Jonathan Jones, another convicted felon, was in possession of firearms connected to the case. Jones was not present during the search but was arrested on April 3 on a charge of possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person, a Class ID felony. He was also jailed in Lincoln County.
