
Reta Kimball of North Platte, NE, passed away at the Callaway Good Life
Center on November 9, 2022, at the age of 87.
Reta, the daughter of Leland and Mary Stevenson, was born June 23, 1935, at Westerville, NE, where she grew up. After graduating from
Westerville High School, Reta attended Kearney State Teachers College
and earned her teaching certificate. She then moved to North Platte
where she taught at District 44, south of town.
On August 15, 1954, Reta was united in marriage to Clair Kimball at
Westerville Methodist Church. They settled in North Platte and raised
three children. Reta went on to work for the hospital in an admissions
position and retired from Great Plains Regional Medical Center after 27
years.
She was a member of First Christian Church. Reta like to shop and loved
her family. She especially enjoyed going to her grandkids and
great-grandkids sporting events - she was their biggest fan.
Reta was preceded in death by her husband, Clair, and their infant
daughter, Lori Jo; her parents, Leland and Mary Stevenson; brothers,
Lewis and Richard Stevenson; and son-in-law, Mark Pandorf.
Survivors include her children, Tom (Sue) Kimball of Grant, Ed (Bonnie)
Kimball of Bronson, IA, and Diane Pandorf of Callaway; her sister, Sue
Stevenson of Broken Bow; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and
other family.
Graveside service will be 3 p.m., Monday, November 14, 2022, in Floral
Lawns Memorial Gardens with Jean Anderson officiating. Online

may be signed at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore which is in
charge of arrangements.
