The North Platte Police Department in conjunction with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, NHTSA, and the Nebraska Department of Transportation will participate in a high visibility traffic enforcement campaign from November 25th through November 30th, 2025. 

The primary focus of the campaign is Passenger Restraint laws. In 2023, nationwide, 309 people were killed in traffic crashes with 44% being unrestrained. Additional police officers will be on the streets this holiday, enforcing our traffic laws. 

The North Platte Police Department asks its citizens to buckle up and make this holiday a safe one.
