NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-If you're familiar with the science of firefighting, you know that constant training is part of the job.
The Hershey Volunteer Fire Department had an opportunity to train with Lifenet of North Platte on Wednesday.
The department worked with LifeNet and their air ambulance on landing zone training which included designating pre-planned landing zones and other logistics that provide the best opportunity for patients to receive care.
The department said the training helps prepare firefighters to work together with agencies like Lifenet in real life emergency situations.
