NORTH PLATTE, Neb - North Platte Giving Day shatters giving record. In 2022, Giving Day generated over $370,000 in donations for almost 70 Lincoln County non-profits. Yesterday, the 10 day event concluded with over $510,000 in donations to 80 Lincoln County non-profits. In-person donations will still be added to this total.
Early giving began on Wednesday, April 26. Eric Seacrest, Executive Director of Mid Nebraska Community Foundation told the POST that over $116,000 in early giving had been donated as of Monday morning. Over $200,000 in matching donations helped push the total over a half million dollars.
North Platte Catholic Schools Endowment Trust collected the most donations with $135,768. The NPCSET plans to rebuild their parking lot in front of North Platte St. Pat's High School with the help of the Giving Day contributions.

The Lincoln County Ag Society earned the second most donations with $59,550. The money donated to the fairgrounds will go towards fundraising efforts to erect a new multipurpose building that would host indoor barrel racing, expo's and classrooms.
