Carolyn Grabenstein of North Platte passed away at Great Plains Health on February 5, 2024, at the age of 79.
Carolyn, the daughter of Cecil and Helen Wonch, was born at Arnold on September 8, 1944, and she grew up on the family farm, southeast of Arnold. When she was 12, the family moved to North Platte. Carolyn graduated from N.P.H.S. in 1962 then attended beauty school in North Platte. She worked as a hairdresser for over 20 years.
Carolyn was married to Gary Grabenstein and had three children. She was later married to Adam Schnieder. Carolyn loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James and LeRoy Wonch; sister, Eva Munnell; and her husband, Adam Schnieder.
Survivors include Carolyn's children, Mark Grabenstein (Ann-Alicia) of Colorado Springs, CO, Stacy of Arvada, CO, and Tricia Morris (Ricky) of Sutherland; grandchildren, Madison Perkins (Austin), Deidre Pepin (Austin), Haley Grabenstein, Maggie Yost (Dakota), Bethanie Grabenstein, Abbie Morris and Addison Grabenstein; great-granddaughters, Emersyn and Oaklynn Yost; her sister, Kathy Phillip (Albert) of Houston, TX; and other family.
Celebration of Carolyn's life will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, at Harvest Christian Fellowship with Pastor Jeremy Rinke officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Fort Logan National Cemetery at Denver.
