Kristi Catlett, age 55 of Burwell, NE, formerly of the Broken Bow area, passed away at the Community Memorial Health Center in Burwell.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm with the family greeting at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow. Memorials are suggested to the family. Kristi Beatrice (Jones) Catlett was born June 2, 1969, in Broken Bow, Nebraska to Donald and Margie (Ondrak) Jones. Kristi passed away on September 3, 2024.
Kristi spent her entire life in Broken Bow living her dream of being a mom and grandma. She was a published writer and wrote many poems for her family and friends. She enjoyed reading, writing, hunting, fishing, trapping, and camping. She was an outdoors girl. She loved her family and spending time with all of them making memories brought her such joy. She was known for making everyone feel welcome and safe. She was a good listener and was nonjudgmental. She was loyal and a friend to all.
Kristi attended Southeast Community College in Beatrice, Nebraska, transferring to Mid-Plains Community College in North Platte, Nebraska graduating with a certification in electronics technician.
Kristi is survived by her pride and joy, daughter Britainy Jones (fiancé Colby), and grandchildren Isaiah, Oliver, Sophie, Zoey, and Daxter, all of Ansley, NE. Donald and Shirley Jones, father and stepmother, of Ansley, NE. Siblings, Carla (Bud) Clark of Broken Bow, NE, Casey (Korrena) Jones of Ansley, NE, and Joshua (Shawna) Jones of Broken Bow, NE. She has many, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends. Kristi will be missed so very much.
Kristi was preceded in death by her newborn son, Richard Arin Duryea, mother, Margie Jones, sister, Candy Jones, brother, Douglas Jones, and the love of her life and fiancé, Arin Duryea.
