Judy Earlene Grover-Jay (1947-2021)

Judy Earlene Grover-Jay, 73, of North Platte, died at her home January
1, 2021.

Judy was born January 19, 1947, to Zatha Jackson and Harold Grover in
North Platte where she has lived all her life.

Judy started working right out of school, she was an amazing seamstress
who did everything by hand.  She created costumes for different people,
decorated cakes, and made porcelain dolls and their clothes.  Judy was
very creative and artistic!

She enjoyed gardening, loved her family, and was a member of First
Church of the Nazarene.  Her life was her art and her faith in God was
her special thing.

Judy was preceded in death by her dad, Harold Grover; mom, Zatha
Gullion; and sister, Kerry Tuma.

She is survived by her children, Ty Johansen, Jeff (Christine) Johansen
and Elizabeth (Jeff) Mein, all of North Platte, and Patrick (Sue Ellen
Dechenne) Peters, of Pooler, GA; her stepdad, Ray Gullion, of North
Platte; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ryker, Benjamin, Alexander, Margaret
and Kaylynn; great-grandson, Braxton; step siblings, Rochelle (Paul)
Orwig, of Waco, TX, Michelle (Randy) Tornes, of Frisco, TX, and Greg
(Tammy) Gullion, of Weatherford, TX; as well as other family.

Cremation was chosen.  Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday,
January 6, 2021, at Odean Colonial Chapel in North Platte, Nebraska.  The memorial book may be signed online at odeanchapel.com.  Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore is in charge of arrangements.
