The North Platte Community Playhouse will celebrate female authors at Beans &amp; Books, scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday.&nbsp;

The guest speaker will be Dr. Dianne Bystrom,&nbsp;director emerita of the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics at Iowa State University and&nbsp;director of communications for the League of Women Voters of Nebraska.
