Delmar Dean VanCura, 81 of Ogallala, passed away Monday, April 29th, 2024 at Maples of Centennial in North Platte, NE, surrounded by family. Delmar was born April 19th, 1943 to Henry & Lola (Lee) VanCura. Delmar attended Ogallala Public Schools and was a life long Ogallala resident.
Delmar and Deanna Casey were married in Oshkosh, NE on August 12th, 1969. This marriage continued for the next 53 years. Delmar worked for various employers over the years, including the Hi-Line Co-Op in Grant, City of Ogallala, Best Western, and Walmart all of Ogallala.
Delmar enjoyed fishing, garage selling, camping, auctions, gambling with his wife, and most importantly - being Santa.
Delmar is survived by 4 of his children, Daniel VanCura, AJ Reimers, Leanne VanCura, and Lori Watts, 14 Grandchildren, and 26 Great Grandchildren. Delmar is preceded in death by his wife, Deanna VanCura, parents, son, Andrew VanCura, and 1 Grandson.
